Sammy Larry in Police Custody over Mohbad's death - Lagos Police PRO

  Lagos State Police Command, on Thursday, announced the arrest of music promoter and controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. He was arrested over an ongoing investigation into the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the development on his verified Twitter page on Thursday also said Sam Larry is assisting with the ongoing investigation. He posted: “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. “He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.” Sam Larry, an ally of Azeez Fashola, a Nigerian singer popularly known as Naira Marley, has been trending in Social Media since the news of the death of MohBad broke. Lagos Assembly summons LAMATA for not using Yoruba Language in Train announcements

° Confirms 1 Sanwo-Olu's Commissioner Nominee ° Asks environment ministry to clear drains The Lagos State House Assembly on Tuesday asked the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) to appear before it over its refusal to add Yoruba to languages it uses for announcements and instructions in its train service. The House noted the importance of Yoruba language for passing information to passengers on the trains since it would help some of them, especially new users who may not understand English Language, easily understand what to do. The House further noted that since 2017 when the bill on compulsory teaching of Yoruba Language in schools was passed, the State had made conscious efforts to encourage the use of the language in public places adding that this should be sustained.
