Council Chairman and Assembly Member empathize with residents of flood-affected communities

  The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, and the Lagos Assembly Member representing Kosofe Constituency II, Hon. Femi Saheed, commiserate with the inhabitants of Agiliti Phase II, Idera/Ajegunle and Isheri North communities, which were affected by flood occasioned by the release of Oyan river dam.  During their visit to the respective communities at early morning of wednesday, Mayoress Bola Bada empathized with the residents and assured them of interventions by the government.  She urged people to dissuade from building along drainages and river bodies while admonishing them to be cautious and prevent mishaps during the flood period.  "I commend the patience and cooperation with the government portrayed by you all. Flooding: Council boss ride bike to sympathize with affected communities

As riverine areas of Lagos and Ogun States are currently facing the challenges of flooding, inhabitants of the affected communities keep high their hopes of government interventions.  The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-isheri Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, popularly called MAYORESS, to the admiration of the residents of Isheri North GRA, River Bank Estate, and Ajegunle communities, assessed the flood situation on a bike, and walked through it to sympathize with the affected residents, on Monday. Sammy Larry in Police Custody over Mohbad's death - Lagos Police PRO

  Lagos State Police Command, on Thursday, announced the arrest of music promoter and controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. He was arrested over an ongoing investigation into the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad. Lagos Assembly summons LAMATA for not using Yoruba Language in Train announcements

° Confirms 1 Sanwo-Olu's Commissioner Nominee ° Asks environment ministry to clear drains The Lagos State House Assembly on Tuesday asked the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) to appear before it over its refusal to add Yoruba to languages it uses for announcements and instructions in its train service. The House noted the importance of Yoruba language for passing information to passengers on the trains since it would help some of them, especially new users who may not understand English Language, easily understand what to do. The House further noted that since 2017 when the bill on compulsory teaching of Yoruba Language in schools was passed, the State had made conscious efforts to encourage the use of the language in public places adding that this should be sustained. The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, popularly called MAYORESS, distributes 250 free GCE (General Certificate of Education) forms to Ikosi-isheri indigents students. While distributing the forms at Adebayo Osinowo hall, Ikosi-isheri LCDA Secretariat, on Monday, Mayoress described the gesture as one of her interventions in the Education sector of the LCDA.
