SALIU ADEKUNLE AFRICA EMERGED AS NYCN-LAGOS ELECTORAL CHAIRMAN

 


Sequel to the inauguration made on Sunday 10th March, 2024 at the State Management Meeting of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) held at Agboyi Ketu LCDA, four persons were inaugurated as members of the Electoral Committee. 

The four committee members that was inaugurated by the state Legal Adviser, Comrade Akinyemi Rafiat Omolola Esq. are: Comrade Saliu Adekunle represented Lagos East, Comrade Onifade Sodiq for Lagos Central and Comrade Kuku Mutiu for the Lagos West Senator District, while Mr. Olukosi Julius was the representative from the Ministry of Youth and Social Development. 

The committee is saddled with the responsibility to organize the election of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter as their tenure in office is winding up.

In line with the constitutional provision of NYCN of 2018 as amended, the committee members are empowered to choose their chairman and Secretary which was done at the first meeting of the committee held on wednesday, 13th March ,2024 at the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Alausa, Lagos. Comrade Saliu Adekunle, popularly called AFRICA, emerged as the Chairman of the committee and the Chief Electoral Officer.

The gathering discussed extensively on ways to conduct a Free, Fair and Credible election.

The attendance of the inaugural meeting was as follows:

IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA: Community Stakeholders and appointees gets six cars

 Merriment and praises fill the atmosphere as the Mayoress of Ikosi-isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, handed over 6 car keys to beneficiaries at the council secretariat, on Monday.
