Total Nucleus Foundation (TNF) has inaugurated the second edition of its free computer training program.
During the Inauguration on Saturday, The Project Coordinator, Educator Tijani Musa Oluwatosin, highlighted the motive behind unveiling the second edition of the program.
He said: "he decision to initiate this new edition stemmed from the positive feedback received after the first edition, with numerous requests for further sessions to accommodate more beneficiaries".
Educator Tijani Musa Oluwatosin emphasized the critical importance of computer skills in today's environment, citing this as a driving force behind the swift commencement of the new edition. "The organization aims to expand this initiative to cover all 20 local governments in Lagos State", he said.
"Unlike the first edition, which primarily targeted students in terminal classes to equip them with computer-based testing skills, this second edition is inclusive of individuals of all ages. The training will focus on fundamental Information Technology skills, ensuring a broader impact within the community", he stated.
Mr. Lukman Owolabi, President of TNF, who declared the program open, highlighted its significance in bridging the IT skills gap, particularly among the youth population in Nigeria. He noted the positive reception from TNF's Patron, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, parents, and stakeholders, following the success of the initial edition. "Despite the associated costs, TNF prioritizes the program's utility and potential to benefit numerous individuals", he asserted.

"This edition represents a shift towards inclusivity, welcoming interested individuals from Somolu, Ikeja, and Lagos Island, to the training center, here in Magodo. As part of TNF's expansion strategy, a new training center has been established in Agege, with plans for further outreach in Badagry to accommodate participants from distant areas", said the President.
The inauguration event, held at Encounter House, Magodo, marked the distribution of training manuals to students, who promptly commenced their classes thereafter. It is evident that Total Nucleus Foundation remains committed to extending its reach and impact, with a vision to provide IT training opportunities as widely as possible.
