JUNE 12: WE ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY PLANNED PROTEST IN Lagos - POLICE


The Lagos State Police Command wishes to state clearly that it is not aware of any planned protest in Lagos State to commemorate the 2021 Democracy Day on Saturday, 12th June, 2021.


In a PRESS release signed by the Public Relations Officer of Lagos State Police Command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, appealed to members of the public to disregard any sit-at-home order called by certain groups which is being circulated in the social media and he asked them to go about their lawful businesses as the police and other security agencies have made necessary arrangement to maintain law and order across the state.


In another development, the Commissioner of Police has formed special Squads to go after traffic robbers who have been terrorising innocent Lagosians and get the state rid of such miscreants. The police boss formed the Squads today Friday 11th June, 2021, at the Command Headquarters. 


CP Hakeem Odumosu equally released some crime fighting equipment and modern communication gadgets to the Squads for efficiency and better service delivery as some of the identified areas like Eko Bridge, Apongbon, Cele, Ijora, Ojota/7up, Mile 12, Surulere etc, must be cleared of miscreants and traffic robbers with immediate effect. 


While assuring the general public of adequate security of lives and property in Lagos State, the Commissioner of Police, reiterated that police personnel in the command will religiously discharge their duties within the ambit of the law.

Ikosi-isheri residents defy rain to witness unveiling of Princess Samiat Bada and other APC Candidates in the LCDA

  Amidst the heavy rain on Thursday July 8th, 2021, residents ranging from APC party faithfuls, market men and women, artisans, NURTW, Community youths, CAN, League of Imams, LASCOTA, NULGE, Arewa, Ndigbo and South-South members of Ikosi-isheri LCDA, witnessed the APC Ikosi-isheri Campaign Flag-off, in large numbers. The flag-off ceremony which has the rank and file of Ikosi-isheri APC leaders in attendance, took place at CMD road by Shangisha/Magodo junction. PCRC ALAPERE DIVISION MARKS 40TH ANNIVERSARY WITH ROAD SHOW & MEDICAL OUTREACH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TA'AWUN NGO

  Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alapere Division, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Odutona Ayodele, partners TA'AWUN NGO to organize a medical outreach in celebration of PCRC 40th anniversary. On Monday, the anniversary celebration started with a sensitization walk which progressed from Alapere Divisional Police Station and culminated at Agboyi-ketu LCDA Secretariat, where the PCRC members were addressed by the Executive Chairman, Mayor Dele Osinowo.  In his remark, the Council Chairman, Mayor Osinowo commended the tremendous efforts of the PCRC in upholding peace in the LCDA and promised to ensure they get the necessary support from the government. The program also featured a medical outreach, in partnership with Ta'awun Heath Forum.
