Stakeholders applaud Senator Abiru as SAIL partners Awarri to create AI jobs

  Hundreds of dignitaries across the country shower encomiums on the Senator representing Lagos-East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru as over 100 Alumni who had undergone Tech Talent and Data Science training at Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL) got paid AI Jobs in partnership with Awarri AI. Sanwo-Olu's SSA on Sports' appointment yields as Lagos flags off maiden monthly Aerobics Program in December

  The recently appointed Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Sports, Mr. Damilare Orimoloye, has hit the ground running with a maiden edition of 'Monthly Aerobics Program'.  The laudable event, which would be flagged off at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, (formerly known as Onikan Stadium) on Saturday, 9th December 2023, was organized in collaboration with the Lagos State Sports Commission.  Mr. Damilare said in his remarks: "I am excited as we prepare to launch this monthly aerobic initiative tagged 'KEEP FIT LAGOS'. JUST IN: Court affirms Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat’s Victory; dismisses LP & PDP Appeals

  The Lagos State Court of Appeal, on wednesday, affirmed the judgment of the tribunal confirming the election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat as the Governor and the Deputy Governor of Lagos State. The appellate Court dismissed the appeal of Labour Party/Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and PDP/Abdulazeez Adediran Jandor for incompetency and lack of merit. The court in a unanimous decision delivered by the three-member panel: Justic Yargata Nimpa, Justice Samuel Bola and Justice Paul Bassey dismissed the grounds of appeal raised by Adediran, popularly known as Jandor. Proxyscribes recalls that the tribunal had earlier upheld the victory of Sanwo-Olu as the elected Governor of Lagos, in the March 11 election.  The justices held: “Even though they were all pre-election matters, the appellants (PDP and Adeniran) still failed to prove them. The appellants came empty-handed and left empty-handed. They merely enjoyed their day in court. Their petition is dismissed.”

IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA 2024 BUDGET: Mayoress convenes stakeholders consultative forum

TINUBU’S VISIT: Saudi Arabia pledges to support CBN with FX, revamp Nigeria's refinery

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Saudi-Africa Summit in Riyadh may have been yielding already as the Kingdom has pledged to help Nigeria in resolving some of her economic quagmires. The government of Saudi Arabia promised to support the reforms being implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria and also revamp Nigeria’s existing refineries through its state-owned oil company, Aramco during a bilateral engagement between President Tinubu and the Kingdom’s leader, Crown Prince, HRH Mohammed Bin Salman. Hilda congratulates Alan as he dethrone her as Guinness record breaker

An Ireland national chef has unseated Nigeria’s Hilda Bassey as Guinness record breaker.  Alan Fisher has unseated Nigeria’s Hilda Bassey to take the world record for the longest cooking marathon, the Guinness World Records committee said on Tuesday.  Fisher “cooked for an incredible 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan,” GWR said, breaking the record set in May by Bassey, who is known on social media as Hilda Baci. Mayoress of Ikosi-isheri LCDA Flag-off HPV Cervical Cancer Vaccination

  As part of her administration's efforts in eradicating cervical cancer, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, flag-off Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccination at the Local Government Secretariat on Wednesday. The vaccination exercise, which was done in partnership with Lagos state Health District II, Lagos State Healthcare Board, NPNCDA, WHO, and UNICEF, was done to ensure all eligible young girls (aged 9-14 years) receive the HPV vaccine. She said in her remarks: "HPV is a common virus that can lead to serious health issues, including cervical cancer. By launching this vaccination campaign, we are taking a proactive stance to protect our young residents from the potential harms of HPV". WATCH as President Tinubu calls out his son for attending FEC meeting

To the amazement of some and to the admiration of others, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Federal Executive Council meeting held on Monday, called out his son, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, saying his attendance of the FEC meeting is unacceptable.  Thereafter, the President listed the names of some personalities who he gave consent to attend the FEC meeting.
