IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA Y2024 BUDGET RETREAT: Council stakeholders deliberate towards a more prosperous fiscal year

 


After series of community stakeholders meeting towards achieving an all-inclusive Year 2024 budget, Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area held a 2-day Budget Retreat at Osmak Hotel & Suites, Ibadan, Oyo State. 

The budget retreat, tagged: Budget of Optimization for Sustainable Development was aimed at deliberating on fiscal strategies, financial priorities, and resource allocation for the upcoming fiscal year. It brought together Executive members, members of the Legislative arm, Management, department heads, finance and revenue officials. 

At the program, stakeholders involved were able to assess the current financial landscape, identify challenges, and chart a comprehensive financial roadmap that aligns with the community's needs and aspirations.

"This gathering marks a significant milestone in our commitment to charting a course for the growth and development of our community. As we convene to deliberate on the allocation of resources for the upcoming fiscal year, I am filled with a sense of optimism and determination. The decisions made during this retreat will shape the trajectory of our community's progress and directly impact the lives of our constituents", addressed the LCDA Chairman, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada. 

Conclusively, she said: "I am confident that our collective wisdom, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service will steer us towards creating a budget that reflects our shared vision for a prosperous and thriving community. My heart is where my community is".

In his remarks, the Budget Head of Department, Mr. Olomo, highlighted the importance of the retreat. 

"Budget Retreat served as a platform for collaborative decision-making, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and commitment among participants.

"The insights gathered and agreements reached will guide the drafting of the budget, ensuring it reflects the collective aspirations and needs of the community", he said. 

The event also featured a seminar session where a renowned expert on budgetary matters, Dr. Olusola badejo, discussed the nitty-gritty of budgeting and budgetary procedures. 

During the retreat, Departments presented their proposed budgets, highlighting key projects, programs, and initiatives. Through deliberations, emphasis was placed on prioritizing essential services such as healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and social welfare while exploring innovative approaches to maximize resources.

IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA: Community Stakeholders and appointees gets six cars

 Merriment and praises fill the atmosphere as the Mayoress of Ikosi-isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, handed over 6 car keys to beneficiaries at the council secretariat, on Monday.
