Sanwo-Olu's SSA on Sports' appointment yields as Lagos flags off maiden monthly Aerobics Program in December
The recently appointed Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Sports, Mr. Damilare Orimoloye, has hit the ground running with a maiden edition of 'Monthly Aerobics Program'.
The laudable event, which would be flagged off at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, (formerly known as Onikan Stadium) on Saturday, 9th December 2023, was organized in collaboration with the Lagos State Sports Commission.
Mr. Damilare said in his remarks: "I am excited as we prepare to launch this monthly aerobic initiative tagged 'KEEP FIT LAGOS'. This is just the first of many programs to come for youths engagement in sports".
He stated some of the benefits of the program as youth empowerment, improving mental well-being and health enhancement.
"The program aims to provide mental and physical health among Lagosians. It aligns with the T.H.E.M.E.S+ vision and agenda of the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu", said Orimoloye.
The Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar states that the Lagos State Sports Commission is concerned about the fitness and wellness of the people of Lagos, and the need to imbibe a healthy lifestyle.
He said: “Keep Fit Lagos has been designed to be an all-inclusive drive for residents, to bond and imbibe the culture of physical fitness for optimal performance".
