During the announcement, the Mayoress highlighted the significance of the cultural carnival as a platform for celebrating the rich heritage and traditions of the Ikosi-Isheri, Ketu, and Magodo communities. She emphasized that this year’s theme underscores the importance of preserving cultural values while fostering unity among residents.
The carnival promises to be a vibrant showcase of traditional performances, music, art, and culinary delights from different cultures within the region. The two-day event will feature activities designed to engage all age groups, including cultural displays, masquerade performances, dance parade, and a market place for local crafts and delicacies.
